KOS Organic Plant Based Protein Powder contains 20 grams of protein in each two scoop serving. They use a plant-based blend containing pea, flax seed, quinoa, pumpkin seed, and chia seed proteins.
The amount of protein in this product is comparable to other protein supplements. Because it contains a blend of plant-based proteins, it contains essential amino acids and BCAAs. This blend also lends itself to being a good source of other micronutrients like vitamin B12, Riboflavin, iodine, zinc, selenium, and copper. Depending on the flavor chosen, each serving will contain 2-3 grams of sugar. This protein powder is certified organic, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan.
Other ingredients include coconut milk, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, acacia gum, sea salt, stevia, and monk fruit. It also contains an enzyme blend to aid in the absorption of these plant-based protein sources.
Overall, this plant-based protein supplement has a well-rounded blend of protein and high-quality ingredients. As a Registered Dietitian I would recommend KOS Organic Plant Based Protein Powder to others. I would love to see KOS offer an unsweetened version of this product in the future.
