Did you lose your protein powder scoop? If so, you might be asking yourself, “how much is in a scoop of protein powder?” This is a tricky question, because every supplement manufacturer uses a different scoop size and serving size.
Protein Powder Scoop Size
All protein powders will come with a Nutrition Facts label that shows the serving size, as well as how many scoops are in each serving.
To calculate the Scoop Size, divide the serving size by the number of scoops per serving.
For example, this Nutrition Facts label is from Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder.
Each serving is 46g, and there are 2 scoops per serving. This means that each scoop is 23g (46g divided by 2).
Figuring out the scoop size tells you exactly how much is in a scoop of protein powder, which can be very useful if you lose the scoop that comes included with your protein!
Protein Powder Serving Size
Now that you’ve figured out how much protein is in one scoop, it’s important to remember that some brands require more than one scoop per serving.
The serving differs from brand to brand, and is typically 1 or 2 scoops for either whey protein or plant-based protein.
